Halloween Howl Offers Safe and Fun Trick-or-Treating

November 02, 2009

The 12th annual Halloween Howl was hosted on Mills lawn from 2 to 5 p.m. on Halloween day. The event was free and open to the public.

Halloween Howl is an annual event offering a safe alternative to trick-or-treating. The carnival includes games, trick-or-treating, prizes, and haunted houses hosted by residence halls and campus organizations. Some of the booths hosted this year were face painting, cotton candy, a dunking booth, piñatas, and bounce houses. More than 1,500 people attended this year’s event.

The offices of Community Engagement, Student Involvement and Leadership, Residential Life, Multicultural Affairs and many other student organizations sponsored the event.

For more than a decade, Halloween Howl has brought the campus and Central Florida communities together.
