Helping Hands Across America Finale

Food collection efforts continue until Thursday, November 12 for the 2009 Helping Hands Across America drive benefitting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
 
Helping Hands Across America is a nationwide canned goods drive sponsored annually by Sodexo, Rollins’ dining services provider. More than 1,000 Sodexo accounts throughout the country will be working together to collect donations in their area as part of a monumental effort to provide relief to those in need during these challenging economic times.
 
Sodexo aims to replace last year’s Guinness World Record-breaking drive statistics as the Largest Food Drive by a non-charitable organization over multiple locations in a 24-hour period with a new record on November 12. Details about the finale event in the Cornell Campus Center will be provided.
 
Learn more about Second Harvest Food Bank.  Students, faculty, staff and friends of the College may donate items or contribute money, which will be used to buy food at wholesale cost.  Flex Card donations may be made at any dining services location or contribute online.
 
Donation sites are set up around campus and every can collected and every dollar raised though the drive will benefit Central Florida’s Second Harvest Food Bank. or you can make a difference the largest impact by donating money which will be used to buy food at wholesale cost.
