Rollins Hosts Fall Meeting Florida Association of College and Research Libraries

Recently, Rollins hosted the Florida Association of College and Research Libraries (FACRL) meeting. 97 librarians attended, a record success. The meeting opened with a welcome from Dean Joyner. The meeting's main purpose was to discussed ways to improve cooperation between all libraries in higher education in Florida. Speakers discussed practical examples, joint licenses to online journals that will radically increase the number of online journal titles available to students and faculty at schools like Rollins, and plans for a shared statewide storage facility for low use books. Director of the Olin Library Jonathan Miller spoke on a panel concerning legal and structural issues around the issue of library cooperation.
