Rollins Named OCPS Outstanding Partner in Education

May 06, 2009

Rollins was named one of the 2008-09 Orange County Public Schools' (OCPS) Outstanding Partners in Education.

Rollins students, faculty, and staff worked with Fern Creek Elementary last summer to get the school ready for its new academic year, enhanced college awareness through Pathways to College Day, and implemented mentoring, academic coursework and volunteerism through various service projects at Fern Creek Elementary throughout the year.

The OCPS Outstanding Partners in Education Award is bestowed upon business partners who demonstrate excellence in the variety of activities provided (a minimum of three activities) in an appropriate amount of interaction with the school throughout the school year, and in meeting the needs of the schools with quantitative outcomes.
