Ilan Alon Delivers Keynote for FMSI (Friction Materials Standards Institute)

Cornell Chair and Professor of International Business Ilan Alon recently delivered a keynote address for FMSI (Friction Materials Standards Institute). Founded in 1948, the FMSI serves as a trade association of automotive aftermarket friction manufacturers, and performs a very valuable service for the automotive aftermarket—the creation of a standardized part numbering system for brakes and clutch facing.

Alon’s speech, which was titled “Can You Build on the BRICs?” highlighted the issues relating to governance and problems associated with the growth markets of Brazil, Russia, India, and China.
