Music by Lackman and Crozier at Kennedy Center
Songs by Lackman and Crozier Performed at Kennedy Center and Library of Congress
June 28, 2012
On April 6, Professor of Music Susan Cohn Lackman and Associate Professor of Music Daniel Crozier had songs performed at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D. C., as well as at the Library of Congress two weeks later. Their songs were part of an Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) collaboration among the composers at various ACS schools to create a song cycle for baritone and guitar using texts from the “River of Words” poetry project. These songs were first heard last August at Rollins, and will be published presently.
