Assistant Professor of Anthropology Ashley Kistler recently published her article titled “Discovering Aj Pop B’atz’: Collaborative Ethnography and the Exploration of Q’eqchi’ Identity” in the Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology. This article explores her collaborative fieldwork on the historical memory of the Q’eqchi’-Maya of San Juan Chamelco, Guatemala. The Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology is one of the journals published semi-annually by the American Anthropological Association.
