Volunteer Opportunities

Involvement and Leadership Opportunities for
Scholarship Recipients
2012-13 Academic Year

It is within the mission of Rollins College and the Hamilton Holt School to develop an institutional culture that embraces local and global citizenship and leadership, thus empowering graduates to pursue meaningful lives and productive careers. We believe that engagement on the local level facilitates individual growth and promotes community within the Hamilton Holt School.

As recognized leaders in the Holt School community, scholarship recipients are required to contribute at least six hours of service per academic year to various published opportunities. We appreciate that many students contribute above and beyond the six-hour requirement, and that they are also involved in other community and campus groups and events.

PROCESS TO VOLUNTEER FOR AN APPROVED EVENT

Identify service opportunities of interest to you. Please note that there are a specified number of volunteers needed for each event. Events will be staffed on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the office or person indicated by the specified deadline. You will be asked to select another event if a sufficient number of volunteers has already been identified. Please do not wait until the last minute.

Download the Scholarship Service Verification Form from the Student Services web site.

Complete the form and obtain the signature of the authorized person at the time the service is fulfilled.

Return the Scholarship Service Verification form to the Holt School Office (Attention: Sharon Lusk) prior to May 31. Note: failure to submit the form by the deadline may impact renewal of your scholarship award for the upcoming year.
