Graduate Studies in Education

Teachers are vital to our future. An educated citizenry is essential if the United States is to remain competitive in the global marketplace and if we are to solve many complex social and economic problems.

The employment outlook for teachers is good over the long term, particularly because many teachers will retire, opening job prospects further. Elementary school teaching jobs are expected to increase. In Florida, where the population is growing rapidly, more teachers will be needed to meet the demand for educating the children of parents moving here for job opportunities and mild weather.
