Information Technology policies regarding use of e-mail, the Web, computer labs, etc., are posted on the IT website.

FoxLink: FoxLink is a software application that provides Rollins employees and students with access to their accounts and important resources. Faculty may access FoxLink on Rollins' internal R-Net page http://r-net.rollins.edu/, under Campus Logins. FoxLink provides 24-hour access to class rosters, compensation records, course evaluations (end of semester), e-mail Lists, grade reporting, grade changes, etc.
Outlook: Current faculty members have access to a free Rollins e-mail account. Rollins e-mail is the official means of communication at Rollins. It is used for dissemination of course scheduling, administrative, and academic information (including teaching contracts). It is the responsibility of faculty members to regularly check their Rollins e-mail account.
Instructions regarding passwords for FoxLink and GroupWise accounts are on the IT Web page.
Holt Faculty website: The Holt Faculty Website contains academic calendars, policies and procedures, and general information of relevance to faculty. The following forms are also available:
Contract for an Incomplete Grade
Desk Copy Request Form
General Education Requirement Approval Form
Early Identification of Students at Risk
Blackboard: Blackboard is the online learning environment for Rollins. Faculty and students use this course management system as an online interactive learning tool for courses. A training schedule is posted on the Information Technology website (http://tars.rollins.edu/it/blackboard/).
Films and Audiovisual Equipment: The Classroom Technology Department provides instructional support for a wide range of materials and information in audio, visual, and other non-print formats. The department supports various media-equipped classrooms. Request and inquiries for equipment should be made one week in advance by contacting the Classroom Technology department at 407-646-2357 or via Web site at http://tars.rollins.edu/it/forms/forms_multimedia.shtml
Films may be borrowed from academic departments or the Olin Library. Faculty members should have all of the necessary information regarding films before requesting an order.
Scheduling Development: Academic departments propose course offerings for a given term. Faculty should discuss teaching interest and opportunities with program directors/department chairs. It is the practice of the Holt School to provide instructors one proofing opportunity to review the course listing(s), any prerequisities/co-requisities, meeting dates and times, and course description(s). Changes and corrections should be reported to Assistant Dean Sharon Lusk by the specified deadline. Corrections received after the deadline will not be reflected in the initial term publication. Special classroom needs should also be reported to the Assistant Dean during scheduling development.
General Education Requirements: Courses must be pre-approved in order to satisfy General Education Requirements. Any questions about this process should be directed to Assistant Dean Sharon Lusk.
Classrooms: Classrooms are assigned by the Holt School based on information provided by the faculty member during the proofing phase of the scheduling. Classroom assignments are based upon media needs, anticipated enrollment, course structure, and compliance with ADA guidelines. Although the Holt School does not guarantee classroom assignments, every effort will be made to meet the instructional needs of faculty.
Faculty should not reschedule class times or meeting locations without notifying the Hamilton Holt School in advance. Movement of furniture should be kept to a minimum, and furniture should be returned to the original configuration after class. Most of the air conditioning and heating systems on campus are automatically controlled to provide the maximum comfort to all.
HOLT SCHOOL MAILBOX

A form will be sent to faculty by the Bookstore with appropriate due dates. Textbook Manager, Tom Quinby, is available to answer any questions and assist with orders. He can be contacted at 407-628-6304 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Adjunct faculty are entitled to a 10% discount on purchases from the Rollins bookstore with a valid College ID.
Desk and Examination Copies: Desk and examination copies of course textbooks can be ordered directly from the publisher or through Executive Assistant Robin Sibley (407-646-2292 or email@example.com). Publishing Center: Located on the ground floor of the Facilities and Services, the Publishing Center provides a wide-range of professional duplication services, including copyright clearance, preparing machine-ready master copies, and duplicating course materials for resale at the Bookstore. Original materials may be dropped off at the Publishing Center or Bookstore.
Permission must be secured to copy all copyrighted materials in order to comply with Federal Copyright Law. Copyright clearance can take from one day to three months depending on the right-holder’s response time. To grant permission to make copies, right holders require complete information on each excerpt, including:
- Publication title - Publication date
- Article Title - Page numbers
- Author - ISBN # (if available)
Copyright royalties (which add to the students’ price) range from a half-cent per page to several dollars per page. Faculty will be notified of permission denials or unusually high royalties as they arise.
