Jonathan R. Walz Presents at Forum on Contemporary Social Theory in Hyderabad, India

Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Archaeology Jonathan R. Walz recently attended the Forum on Contemporary Social Theory in Hyderabad, India. During the month-long gathering sponsored by the Ford Foundation, Walz delivered three presentations about cultural practices, archaeological sites and historical representations in the lower Pangani (Ruvu) Basin, Tanzania. Scholars from South Asia and the United States offered feedback on these components of his developing manuscript about practicing postcolonial archaeology in East Africa.
