Jonathan R. Walz Organizes Session and Presents at African Archaeology Conference in Dakar, Senegal

Assistant Professor of Anthropology and Archaeology Jonathan R. Walz recently organized the session "Archaeological Intersections in Coastwise Eastern Africa" at the 13th Congress of the PanAfrican Archaeological Association for Prehistory and Related Studies (PAA)/20th Biennial Meeting of the Society of Africanist Archaeologists (SAfA) in Dakar, Senegal. This unified meeting of the two most influential professional societies that address African archaeology and heritage discussed new research findings and future archaeological goals on the continent. Walz also presented a paper titled "Route to a Regional Past: Two Millennia of Archaeology in Lowland NE Tanzania."
