Assistant Professor of Anthropology Ashley Kistler Gives Workshop at Maya at the Playa Conference

Assistant Professor of Anthropology Ashley Kistler and four Rollins students (Rachael Kangas ’11, Kayla Cortés ’11, Drew Horsburgh ’11, and Konrad Antczak ’12) attended the Maya at the Playa conference in Palm Coast, FL this past weekend.  Kistler gave a workshop on Maya ethnohistory and ethnogenesis, focusing on her research on historical memory in San Juan Chamelco, Guatemala.  The students participated in a number of hands-on workshops as part of this event.
