Professor of English Ed Cohen's article, "Mirren's Autobiography: The Life and Poetry of Marion Bernstein, 1846-1906," has been published in the Scottish Literary Review 2.1 (2010): 59-76. 

Bernstein, disabled in her youth by infantile paralysis, spent her adult years in Glasgow and composed poems on the shabby treatment of women in Victorian Scotland.  This study, coauthored with Linda Fleming of Edinburgh Napier University, was supported by an Ashforth Grant awarded in 2008.
