Professor of Philosophy and Religion Yudit Greenberg delivered a public lecture in October at Gettysburg College. The lecture was on the imperative to love in Jewish thought, from the biblical commandment to love your neighbor as yourself to the contemporary Jewish philosopher Emmanuel Levinas' notion of the absolute responsibility of the self towards the other.

The lecture was sponsored by the Jewish Studies program and by the departments of Philosophy and Religion.
