Leslie Kemp Poole Publishes Photographic History of Maitland

Leslie Kemp PooleLeslie Kemp Poole, adjunct professor in the Environmental Studies department, recently published a new photographic history of the City of Maitland, Florida. 

The book, entitled, "Maitland," is part of the Images of America series from Arcadia Publishing and was developed by Poole in association with the Maitland Historical Society.  The book includes more than 170 photographs and images of the city's past, including several from the Rollins College archives. 

Poole will speak about the book on Wednesday, September 9, at 12 p.m. for a brown bag lunch event at the Cottage at Lake Lily.  On Sunday, September 13, she will sign copies of the book from 12 to 2 p.m. at Urban Think bookstore located at 625 East Central Blvd. in downtown Orlando’s Thornton Park.
