On November 17 the grassy area in front of Olin Library was transformed
into a street market focused on all things recycle-related. Eco-Rollins
planned the event and invited on-campus clubs and local businesses to
participate.
Tunes from WPRK provided an upbeat background for the wide variety of activity hosted by the fair as giant yellow flowers drew attention from every passerby.
Rollins Premiers "Detroit: The Motor-City Experience"
A 40-minute documentary titled, "Detroit: The Motor-City Experience,”
produced in partnership with the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus,
premiered at the ACE Fall Out Festival on November 1. Over 100 members
of the Rollins community gathered on Mills Lawn to see the premiere of
this much-anticipated film and to show support for their peers.

The Rollins College Office of Multicultural Affairs prides itself on
creating a more diverse and inclusive campus climate. Each cultural organization
has one or more faculty or staff advisors who help students make the
organizations the best they can be. Dean of the Chapel Patrick Powers and Campus Security Senior Shift
Supervisor Robert Whetstone are the current advisors to the Black
Student Union.
Helping Hands Across America Drive Exceeds Goal
The 2009 Helping Hands Across America food drive began on October 22 and ran for three weeks through November 12.
This year, Rollins was challenged to raise its contribution more than 100 percent from last year’s 3,777 pounds to 10,000 pounds to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.

On November 16, Assistant Professor of Physics Christopher Fuse took
his RCC students to Titusville to witness one of the last shuttle
launches, Atlantis on STS-129. For many of the students, it was the
first launch they had ever seen.
Pride Dinner Provides a Place to Share Stories
On November 21, the Office of Multicultural Affairs and student Amy
Testa (Class of 2010) hosted a Pride Dinner to bring together Spectrum
and Safe Zone Allies.
